About the business & me

Chris Sims - Photographer & Business Owner

Constantly being asked to take photographs for friends and their families Chris knew he had a creative eye for capturing the mood and character of those he photographed. His relaxed, informal style gave his work the natural and fresh looking photographs people wanted and after many years behind the camera he knew it was time to make the jump, pursue his passion and go professional. Since then he has invested both time and money in fine tuning his skills and business to make Elitepix Photography what it is today.

Chris is married to Karen and together they have two children. He is very at home working with expectant mothers and babies through to teenagers and beyond. He is able to connect with his clients to ensure a relaxed and fun time is had by all during the photo session. This is the key to getting those timeless images that capture expression and make you smile each time you look at them.

Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and has been a crew member on the Exmouth Lifeboats since 1993. He enjoys cycling, tennis, skiing, mountain walking and climbing, kayaking and paddle boarding, he is a member of the Exe Sailing Club too. Chris also has a keen interest in motorcycling and aviation. He has taken many images of aviation and motorcycling including hot air ballooning and at the Isle of Man Grand Prix over the years. When the opportunity arises Chris will often grab an image or two of the Exmouth Lifeboats in action which are often used on the Exmouth RNLI Lifeboats website or on their scoial media news updates promoting the work of the RNLI in saving lives at sea.
